SECOND GRADERS

For several years Mike Boldon assigned his second grade classes a project of writing their life stories. The following are from children related in some way to the Osceola United Methodist Church:

By Mike Reynoldson:
I pulled hair and I cried when I was little.

I work and I eat lunch at school.
I might be a lawyer, a doctor or a tax payer. When I grow up I want to have 5 limos.
I want to have a lot of friends.

By Scott Davis:
I pulled hair and I ate sloppy when I was a baby.
I went to Sun Valley and I went in a boat.
I want to be a good kid and nice.
I like the teachers including Mr. Boldon.
I want to be a millionaire and have a Lamborghini. I want to be rich and have twenty cars.

By Dusty Henry:
I played in my crib when I was little. I got shocked when I was little.
I play soccer at recess. I eat all my lunch at lunchtime.
When I grow up I will be a football player. I will be a wrestler, too.

By Adam Pinkele:
My grandpa put me in a bucket. My brother wanted to see me. My grandma came to see me.
I do a lot of work at school. I play games when I go out to play. I go to lunch at 11:35 A.M.
I want to be a vet and I want to be a writer too.

By Jacob Dorland:
When I was a baby I kicked a lot. I like school. Mr. Boldon is my favorite teacher. I like pizza. I don't like tomatoes. My favorite color is red. I want to be a cop when I grow up. I like to take swimming lessons. I like to play baseball. I like to play football. I could run when I was five. I could kick when I was two.
I take care of my cows. I play baseball. I play soccer. I play basketball. I want to go see Judy, a friend of my mom's.
I have two dogs. I have one chicken. I have a morn, a dad, and a sister.
I play tag. I like to play sports. I want to live in Des Moines and be a policeman when I grow up. I don't want to get married. It is too much work.

I dislike it when my friends get mad at me. I want to be a singer.
I like playing with my friends. I like macaroni and cheese. I like Mr. Boldon. I like school.
My favorite teacher is Mr. Boldon. My favorite food is macaroni and cheese. My favorite cat is nice and she is white and black. My favorite drink is fruit punch.

When I was a baby I liked to play. I liked to kick a lot.
When I was in kindergarten I was the smallest in my class. I liked to slide a lot.
When I was in First grade I started wrestling but I was the only one who did.
When I was in second grade I wrestled even more. I like to wrestle a lot. I don't like to get beat.
My favorite drink is orange juice.
When I grow up I want to drive a semi.

In kindergarten I had lots of friends.
I had Mrs. Cannon in first grade.
I have Mr. Boldon in second grade.
I have a bird. I like Bart Simpson. I hate coloring. I like tennis and football.
My favorite people are Aaron and Jenny. My favorite food is pizza. I want to be a teacher.
I have two brothers. Their names are Nick and Andy. Nick's thirteen and Andy's ten.
I have written two stories. One story is about fish. One is about my mom. My family is nice to me always. I was glad I got my family. I was born in 1983.

I couldn't breathe. The umbilical cord was around my neck. The doctors did some surgery on me when I was a baby. They took me to a special room.
I played soccer in kindergarten, first and second. I liked all my teachers.
I like to go to the park, wash dishes, play, laugh, school and nature.
I don't like to go to bed or get up. I don't like drugs or cheaters.
I want to be a doctor. I want to help people to get better. They'll come and I'll help them. I will go to a good college.

I was a good baby. I started walking when I was a baby. I am a good student. I passed out papers today in school. I want to sing when I grow up. The End.

By Mallory Crain:
When I was a baby I would not let anybody pick me up, but my mommy.
I like school. We are studying about pioneers. My teacher, Mr. Boldon, is nice. I like Lauren, Stacie Nicole, Ashley, Brittainy, Matt and David. I like other people too. I also like ice cream and tacos.
I don't like spinach. My mom has to work and I don't like to work. My favorite things to do are ride my bike, swim, swing, and play hopscotch.
I want to be a model, a singer, a waitress, or an actress. I have two families and I love them both. I like to play on my dad's computer. I like to play Wishbone and the Amazing Odyssey. It is cool. It has Cyclops in it, a witch in it, and a whole bunch of things.
My Grandpa Fouche was in World War II. He fought on the ground. His side won.
I like the Chicago Bulls. Michael Jordon is my favorite basketball player. I want to live in Colorado when I grow up.

I was bigger than my brother when I was a baby. I was a messy baby, My best friends at school are Justin E. and Nick Stuva. Justin E. always helped me if I needed help. I wanted to be a cowboy, but now I want to be a buffalo rider.

By Brandon Van Winkle:
About school and me: I liked to cry a lot and I liked sliding when I was a baby. I'm in second grade now and I do a lot of work. I want to be a baseball player.
